Plainsboro Preserve revisited - November 2016

Couldn't resist bringing my trusted Tamron 90mm macro lens on my latest excursion to Plainsboro Preserve. It was a fantastic early afternoon with clear skies, crisp lighting and low wind, with the temperatures reaching into low 60s. Hope you enjoy.
Please switch to slide show view by simply clicking on the first picture and then navigate using your mouse or left or right arrow keys on your keyboard (the slide show view will give you the best colors and contrast).
If you'd like to use any of these pictures please ask me first.

Conifer needle burst

I love the translucency of the berries and the contrast to the blue sky - shot with a telephoto lens

Fantastic gradient

Red cluster with healthy shine

An unusual effect for a macro lens - can you see it?

The old and the new

Soft cap amidst the hard

Interesting looking beetle - steel green

Prickly Pear cactus - native of New York State (so I am told)

An interesting fall pattern

Rebel with a red tip

A larger colony of Prickly Pear cactus

Not sure what these are - but a nice structure - very efficient surface to volume ratio I suppose

Wrinkles of time

Amphibian eye (sort of)

Coded bark - Nature's binary lines. Amazing shades of green.

Frozen ripple

As the time passes...

Hmmm, Fungi radiance or flat Cabbage Fungi (I am sure it has a proper name)

Rusty

Very interesting Fungi colony. First time I've seen it (correct orientation)

The finer roots of a fallen tree

Gamma Ray Universe on a leaf

Hmmm, Some species of Fungi.

Hollow. This hollow trunk had a metallic sheen to it

Cascade of primitive life over the weathered edge of a concrete cube

The solemn onlooker

Zoom in to see this unusual moss

Got lost again, but was rewarded by this shot.
Well, hope you enjoyed it. Feel free to comment. Yours truly. Arthur
